Contest Timeline

All essays must be submitted between 12:00 am on February 3, 2020 and 11:59 pm March 15, 2020.

3-5 teams will be selected as finalists for each category¹ by March 22, 2020.

Finalists programs will be notified by an Allen Sportswear, Inc. representative.

Finalists will submit a 1-2 minute video between 12:00 am on March 22, 2020 and 11:59 pm on April 5, 2020.

Voting for finalists will run from 12:00 pm April 11, 2020 until 11:59 pm on April 25, 2020. All of the category winners except “Wildcard ” will be decided by popular vote. The Wildcard category winner will be chosen by Allen Sportswear.

All stated times are in Eastern Standard Time.

An additional jersey will be awarded to the author of the essay for each winning school.

Rules and Regulations

All high school Basketball, Baseball, Football, and Softball teams in Central Florida³ are eligible for entry in the contest.

Multiple teams per school may be entered for consideration. However, each of those teams must submit an individual essay.

Any parent, student, teacher, or faculty member may submit an essay.

Any essay submitted must list a contact person affiliated with the school, and contact method (phone, email) included for the entry to be valid.

Participating sports programs must not be currently under any other contractual agreement regarding their team’s uniforms.

No purchase or payment of any kind is required to enter or vote.

While every care will be taken, Allen Sportswear cannot be held responsible for the non-delivery, delay or loss of an entry.

By submitting an essay or video, you grant Allen Sportswear, Inc. permission to use, copy, modify, distribute, and publicly display your submission for any purpose, including display on the Allen Sportswear website, without any attribution or compensation to you.

Only the stated prizes may be won. There will not be a cash alternative to the stated prize.

Winning school teams must provide an authorized school official to sign the sponsorship agreement displayed below and abide by the conditions set forth therein. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the prize.

Winning teams must host Allen Sportswear for a celebratory pep rally during the last week of April or the first week of May, 2020.

Winning teams must provide a school representative for the Dress the Champions Awards Ceremony on May 11, 2020.

1: Category is defined as (Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Football, Baseball, Softball, & Wildcard. Wildcard encompasses all sports.)
